Rapid Diagnosis Clinics were established to provide a route for referral and assessment of patients in which there is a clinical suspicion of serious underlying pathology (particularly but not exclusively cancer), but where there is not an established clinical referral pathway.
These clinics have been set up across BCUHB, and are jointly run by GPs and secondary care physicians. They have already proven their value and provide immediate access to clinical diagnostics and opinion for the primary care teams across the region.
Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and, uniquely, be given insight into the workings of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) behind the RDCs. The event will be delivered by an MDT of experienced professionals and offer first-hand insights into service delivery, clinical pathways, and the practical impact of the RDC model in North Wales.
Who Should Attend?
This event has been designed for GPs, GP practice managers, primary care professionals, secondary care colleagues, clinical support staff, Advance Clinical Practitioners, and those with an interest in innovative diagnostic services.
