Inpatient Management of the Patient with Diabetes

On Wednesday 28th June, Carolyn Thelwell, Lead Diabetes Specialist Nurse (Central) and Team will be delivering a full day of education aimed at Qualified Nurses working in the acute setting in secondary care in North Wales
The day will cover:
- Types of diabetes – Stats and facts
- Glucose/Ketone Monitoring
- Oral Therapies and Illness Management
- Insulin – Types/Administration/Prescribing
- Intravenous Insulin – Indications and Management (DKA/Surgery etc.)
- Hypo Management
- Dietetics
- Diabetic foot
