North Wales Women’s Health Study Day

February 19, 2025 @ 8:30 am 4:30 pm

Alarmingly, even in an age of increased awareness and new technology, many women’s health conditions go undiagnosed, under treated and even ignored

Women suffer higher heart attack deaths rates compared to men. Depression and anxiety present more frequently among female patients and in women going through the menopause.

Research has identified that even though women may live longer than men, they live an increased number of years with disability, wait longer for pain relief and alarmingly many women report having experienced their symptoms being blatantly dismissed.

The first Women’s Health Plan for Wales was launched in December 2024 and maps out a 10-year plan to improve healthcare services for women.

Created by the National Strategic Clinical Network for Women’s Health, the plan sets out how NHS organisations in Wales will close the gender health gap by providing better health services for women, ensuring they are listened to, and their health needs are understood.

If you are a Healthcare professional working in Wales you are part of that plan

In February 2025 HCP Ed-UK are turning the spotlight on Women’s Health in Wales, launching a series of educational events focusing on the conditions out lined in the plan and adding those that we know you have to address every day with little support and limited resources

  • Contraception
  • Mental Health
  • Menopause
  • HRT
  • Migraine Management
  • Breast Cancer
  • CV & Heart Attack

Book your free place at the launch event for an informative educational day giving 7 hours CPD focusing on Women’s Health in Wales.
