SUMMARY:Focusing on the Future of Respiratory Care in Cheshire and Merseyside
DESCRIPTION:Working in Partnership across Primary and Secondary Care – Respiratory Update for ALL Healthcare Professionals across Merseyside and Cheshire ICB. The day is an opportunity to work together across all areas of respiratory medicine\, to learn from each\, tips and hints in our everyday care. There will be a selection of formalised presentations plus workshops.  \n\n\n 	The morning will start at the beginning – Mild Asthma – moving up the ladder to Severe\, how to Diagnose and Treat. Where do Biologics fit\, are patients missing out? \n\n\n 	How to refer to a severe asthma centre – moving on to the breathlessness patient\, are we sure it is respiratory? \n\n\n 	COPD – Do we really need accurate Spirometry to diagnose – do we have the time in our clinics to complete? Diagnosis – Treat – Review: How often\n\n\n 	The ‘Breathlessness Patient’ the crossover between COPD and CVD. So\, what is it and how should we define in our busy 20 minute clinics and treat?\n\n\n 	The Winter is very close: Virtual Clinics – are they helpful? Do they prevent admissions? \n\n\n 	Non-Pharmalogical Care Vs. Pharmalogical Care – Does Pulmonary Rehab really work? Should we not be concentrating on patients that have an MRC score of 1 & 2 to prevent PR? ‘Strictly COPD’ – does it work? \n\nCalling all Practice Managers: It is Teamwork: A business model focusing on Respiratory Care \nWe have some fabulous speakers who will be available at coffee/lunch time to grab for advice/questions. \nFull agenda to follow  \n\n\nThis event is being sponsored by representatives from the pharmaceutical industry who are sponsoring the cost associated with the conference via the purchase of stand space.
