DESCRIPTION:AF is the commonest cardiac arrhythmia. It increases the risk of embolic stroke five-fold. Opportunistic diagnosis and confirmation of the arrhythmia through ECG recording is therefore an important skill for healthcare professionals across primary and secondary care.
