SUMMARY:The Cardiac Presentation of Hypothermic Patients
DESCRIPTION:As Winter approaches healthcare professionals will unfortunately encounter more patients with life threatening hypothermia. \n\n\n\nHypothermia is defined as a drop in body temperature below 35oC and occurs when the body releases more heat than it absorbs or generates. \n\n\n\nThe mortality rate of people with moderate to severe hypothermia is around 50% even with supportive in-hospital care. \n\n\n\nThis webinar will examine the clinical presentation of hypothermia an the management of cardiac arrest in the most serious cases. \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Charlie Bloe\, Lead Nurse for Cardiology\, NHS Highland

Catherine was awarded a distinction for the Cardiff Diploma in Practical Dermatology in 2022 and is passionate about improving dermatology education in primary care. She is also a great advocate of dermoscopy for primary healthcare clinicians. She is a regular speaker on topics in Dermatology at national level.
